Course Content - Effective Communications
Programme Overview:
Most managers recognise that communication is an integral component of their tool kit and freely acknowledge that during a period of change they should communicate appropriately, frequently and in a timely fashion. It is remarkable therefore how often that organisations neglect to do so to the satisfaction of their employees, especially during periods of organisational change.
This programme focuses upon the importance for managers to keep open and active the various lines of communication, particularly during times of change, as well as during the more frequent periods of steady state.
Neglecting this important requirement will restrict employee effectiveness and as a result retard organisational performance.
Delegates have the opportunity to share their experiences and participate in practical simulations that test their ability to engage people and convey clear messages in a wide range of work based scenarios.
Once again the workshop approach incorporates a combination of theory and practical work involving extensive use of role play simulations with our trained actors challenging the delegates to perform.
By the end of the programme delegates will:
-
Appreciate its critical important to organisations
-
Recognise that employees 'expect' the Company and their line manager to keep them regularly informed
-
Understand the fundamentals of communication
-
Appreciate the differing methods available
-
Learn how communication can serve the interests of everyone within the organisation
-
Gain confidence to communicate effectively
